LSU School of Music to Host Annual Tigerama Event Oct. 7 at Pete Maravich Assembly Center

BATON ROUGE - For more than 30 years, the LSU Tiger Band, Golden Girls and Colorguard have entertained millions of LSU fans as they perform before, during and after football games at Tiger Stadium, as well as other special events locally, nationally and abroad.
On Friday, Oct. 7, LSU fans will once again have a chance to witness one of those special events, as the Tiger Band will present this year's annual Tigerama concert at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., for the event with a special VIP reception and silent auction held prior to the concert, which begins at 8 p.m.
Tigerama is a special concert event held to celebrate not only the current LSU Tiger football season, but also highlight the many talented musical and performance ensembles that are a part of the LSU Department of Bands.
"Tigerama is a great way to see the best of Tiger Band, as well as a great recruiting tool for our department," LSU Director of Athletic Bands Roy King said.
The evening includes performances by the LSU Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Winds and Tiger Band, featuring the Golden Girls and Colorguard.
Prior to the Tigerama concert, a special VIP silent auction event will take place from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The auction will include but is not limited to special LSU collectibles. VIP tickets are $100. The price includes pre-event entrance, access to the silent auction, complimentary catering, live musical entertainment, pictures with members of the Golden Girls and reserved "front and center" stadium seating.
All proceeds from the Tigerama auction, reception and concert will be dedicated to help fund scholarships for Tiger Band as well as the LSU School of Music.
Tickets for Tigerama are available through Ticketmaster. General admission seating cost is $20, with a special $5 ticket price for elementary, high school and college students. Also, Benny's Car Wash & Oil Change will be giving away a free car wash for each Tigerama ticket sold.
